Jennifer L. Bertino is a Partner who joined the Governmental Services Department of the Firm in 1998. She was elected to Chair of the Governmental Services Department on July 1, 2022. Her areas of expertise include the audits of municipal governments, school districts, special schools, non-profit organizations, port authorities, fire districts, and federal and state financial assistance programs. She earned her B.S. in accounting from Rutgers University – Camden. She is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant, Registered Municipal Accountant, and as a Public School Accountant in New Jersey. She is a resident of Evesham Township, Burlington County.
EXPERIENCE
Ms. Bertino has performed audits and consulting services for numerous governmental entities and non-profit organizations, many of which are subject to the requirements of the Uniform Guidance. Some of her experiences includes the City of Camden, the City of Newark, and the Delaware River Port Authority. She has aided in the development and instruction of various in-house continuing professional education seminars involving the implementation of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for governmental entities, school district accounting and auditing, and New Jersey municipal accounting and auditing. In addition, she is involved with the Firm’s quality control program.
