Bowman & Company LLP Partner Todd Saler, recently retired Partner Kirk Applegate, and Partner-Elect Michael Cragin recently attended the 2022 Camden Schools Foundation’s scholarship award ceremony. Our three representatives presented a $2,500.00 scholarship award to Eliacim Cardona, who committed to Rowan University. This event celebrated 30 scholarship recipients and marked the 17th year of awards.
Scholarship recipients are graduating High School seniors from throughout the Camden City School District. The event was attended by both Katrina T. McCombs (State District Superintendent, Camden City School District) and Victor Carstarphen (Mayor of Camden); both spoke to all of the graduates, congratulating them for their achievements.
Bowman is a proud supporter of furthering education. Many of our firm’s leadership are involved in the NJCPA scholarship fund (read more here), from essay grading to interviewing students. We also fund a scholarship in memoriam of a former Bowman Partner, Lisa Donahue (read more here). Additionally, some staff at Bowman are involved in mentorship programs in schools such as the aforementioned Rowan University.
