On March 16, 2022, Bowman & Company LLP Partner Bob Marrone spoke at an event hosted by the Camden County Mayor’s Association. This non-partisan association is designed to better the leadership and efficiency of municipal governments. Also speaking at the event was a representative from the State of New Jersey Division of Local Government Services. The topic discussed was emergent issues for 2022 municipal budgets, including the use of federal American Rescue Plan act funds.

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 is a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill passed into law in March of 2021 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This package builds upon previous COVID-19 response bills, such as the CARES act and the Consolidated Appropriations Act.
