We are currently hiring for the following three positions. Read the graphics below for more details.

  • Administrative Assistant
  • Internship Position – Commercial Services Department
    • *Earliest position available = Tax Season 2026 (Apply no later than December 1st!)
  • Entry Level Accountant – All Departments (0-3 Years Experience)
  • Experienced Accountant – Commercial Services (2-5 Years Experience)
  • Experienced Accountant – Governmental Services (2-5 Years Experience)

 

Administrative Assistant

Perform administrative work for multiple Partners and their staff, which involves some independent judgement, general office functions, and performs related work as required. This includes processing of forms such as tax returns and/or audit reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Process audit reports, annual financial statements, annual debt statements, supplemental debt statements, contracts, and tax returns for your assigned Partners
  • Maintain electronic files of correspondence or other records
  • Maintain control files of matters in progress
  • Order office supplies
  • Maintain your own daily timesheet of billable and non-billable hours in our time billing system
  • Assist with the workflow of other administrative assistants when needed; be a team player!
  • Occasionally fill in for our receptionist, if needed

This description does not list each and every duty of the position. You may be asked by Partners or employees to perform other instructions and duties. You will be evaluated, in part, based upon your performance of the tasks listed above. This role requires minimum hazards; general office working conditions apply.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of general clerical experience
  • Strong knowledge of, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe (PDF)
  • Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures: filing, operating the telephone system, office equipment, etc.
  • Fluent communicator in business English usage, proper spelling/grammar/punctuation
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute accurately
  • Ability to perform secretarial and clerical duties with speed and accuracy, without immediate and constant supervision
  • Strong verbal, organizational. and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to execute assignments of confidential nature; handle data responsibly & use technology safely
  • May be required to act as a Notary Public

Internship Opportunities

Bowman & Company LLP is always on the lookout for great young talent! If you are a student in an Accounting major, you may qualify for an internship. Whether you’re interested in governmental or commercial work, we can help you find your passions in the field of accounting. We will provide you with valuable experience for the rest of your career – hopefully, with us!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist professional staff on assigned segments of audit/accounting engagements
  • Perform smaller accounting engagements, such as compilation, reviews of financial statements and tax returns (as directed and supervised by management)

Qualifications:

  • Must be an Accounting major, on-track to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree

Entry Level Accountant – All Departments

Experienced Accountant – Commercial Services

Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of experience
  • Must have an accounting degree
  • A CPA license in the state of New Jersey
  • Ability to interact with clients
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and guidelines
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and research skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Experienced Accountant – Governmental Services
