This June, retired Bowman partner and consultant John “Jack” F. Dailey, Jr. received the New Jersey Society of Public Accountants’ (NJCPA) 2021 Lifetime Leader award.

The Lifetime Leader category of the NJCPA Ovation Awards celebrates the standout NJCPA member of exceptional merit for remarkable contributions to the accounting profession over the course of their career. The individual has abundant professional achievements, extensive community service, steadfast determination and model leadership, making the recipient of this distinction a truly exceptional, lifetime leader.

Jack Dailey has been a dedicated member of the NJCPA since 1978. In the years following the Enron and Worldcom scandals, Mr. Dailey dedicated much of his career to leading the NJCPA’s New Jersey Law and Ethics course. Mr. Dailey has also made significant contributions to the NJCPA Scholarship Fund, which helps students, including minorities and women, enter the CPA profession. He has also served as the NJCPA President, Vice President, Treasurer and as a member of its Board of Trustees. In addition to the NJCPA, Mr. Dailey has served the accounting profession in New Jersey as a Board member of the New Jersey Board of Accountancy since 2005.

Mr. Dailey has led and served as an asset to Bowman & Company LLP for nearly five decades. Mr. Dailey joined the Firm in 1973 and was admitted as a partner in 1984. He served as Chairman of the Firm’s Governmental Services Department from 1994-2010 and currently serves as the Firm’s Ethics Compliance Officer. Mr. Dailey is also a consultant and dear friend of the Bowman partnership.
